Nelson Mandela timeline

1. 1918- born at Qunu neat Umtata.
2. 1944- found the ANC Youth League
3. 1949- Program of Action was adopted by the ANC.
4. 1952- opened the first Black Law firm in South Africa.
5. 1960- changed the whole political climate.
6. 1962- arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment.
7. 1990- released from prison.
8. 1993-  awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
9. 1994- inaugurated as the first democratically elected State President of South Africa.
10. 1999- President until June.
